What Is BarScan?
BarScan connects users to other club goers
BarScan allows users to RSVP to a venue for an upcoming date, and view a list of other attendees who will also be there. After browsing profiles, they can request to chat, to get the ball rolling before your night out.
BarScan assists users in choosing a venue to attend
The RSVP feature also allows for BarScan to provide real time data on attendance, so users can see where their friends are going, and avoid attending a boring club ever again.
BarScan helps users save money
Finally, BarScan allows users to browse through special offers, which venues in their city upload directly to the app. This provides potential savings for users as well as targeted marketing for venue owners.
Advertising On BarScan
What makes BarScan such a good advertising opportunity?
BarScan is a perfect advertising platform because your promotions will be seen by users who are utilizing the app to search for a venue to attend on their upcoming night out - and putting your promotions in front of them will entice them to choose yours.

Once you upload a promotion to the app, it will be visible in many different places. First users will encounter ads on the BarScan home page right underneath a map of venues in their city.

Next, users will search for a venue in their city, and click on one of the map pins - this allows them to see the information for that venue, including its current promotion (if any).
​
If a user favorites your venue - your offers will be visible to them on their “favorites” page.
​
Finally, if users navigate to the "Filter Clubs" Page, they will be able to filter clubs to only show venues that currently have a promotion (and you want yours to show up!)

How do I RSVP for a venue?
​
1) Click on the venue's pin on the home screen map then click on the box that pops up
2) Select a date
3) Click RSVP

How do I view the list of attendees for a venue that I have RSVP'd for?
​
1) Go to your "Clubs You're Attending" page
2) Find and select the club
3) Once of the venue's info page, select "attendance"

Where can I find my Chat Requests?
​
Chat requests, along with venue notifications, are located on the notifications page. The notifications page can be accessed by clicking the bell icon next to the "My Account" button.

How does the referral system work?
​
When a user invites a friend to use BarScan, they will recieve the gated features for free (as soon as their friend submits the given referal code).
